Re: would you call an allin with pocket aces if 3 other people are all in?
I really can't believe theres so many people advocating laying down AA. I mean seriously, are we talking about Holdem?? I mean I'm just amazed by what I'm reading in this post.
Okay, heres my question to answer this question. Would you lay down AA pre-flop if you knew it would be seen on tv? Would you really believe you could validate that to the audience, announcers and other poker players? Would you like your name to be a reference to laying down a good hand in poker, like "the Brunson"? Would you want to be replayed for years as "the dumbest move ever"?
Here's what i'll say to people who will cry and whine to me cause they think they are right by saying "It makes sense if you're on the bubble before the money." What hand will you call with in what situation? If you have a low stack, then I would reason you wouldn't play any hand unless you act first and if it has at least an A and a face card. If you're mid-stack, then when will you make a move? Cause frankly, you passed up the best situation to make a big stack to make it to the final table and the big money. Do you really believe at that point with a mid-stack you will be able to see another premium hand without someone playing for the pot? What about the Big stack? When will that player try to knock out the short stacks? I mean if you have chips, are you telling me it makes no sense to try and take out low stacks? Especially with AA???
So I really can't believe how many people are validating laying down AA pre-flop. In fact I want someone who is for laying down AA pre-flop to explain to me how all my points were wrong!! I demand it!
Merry Christmas
